Our client is seeking an experienced Consultant Dermatologist to join a growing multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality private outpatient dermatology services.

This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant with expertise in diagnosing and managing a broad range of skin, hair and nail conditions to work within a well-established private outpatient service committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care.

The Role

You will play a key role in providing consultant-led dermatology clinics, delivering comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up for adult and adolescent patients.

Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the ongoing development of dermatology services while ensuring patients receive high-quality, timely and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for

  • Providing consultant-led dermatology clinics for adults and adolescents.
  • Diagnosing and managing common and complex dermatological conditions.
  • Performing comprehensive skin examinations and dermoscopy.
  • Assessing and managing skin, hair and nail disorders.
  • Prescribing and monitoring dermatological treatments.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely and comprehensive clinical records.
  • Communicating diagnoses, treatment options and management plans clearly with patients.
  • Liaising with General Practitioners and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Where appropriately qualified and credentialed, you may also

  • Perform minor dermatological procedures, including skin biopsies, curettage, cryotherapy and lesion excision.
  • Assess suspected skin cancers and arrange appropriate onward referral where indicated.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical pathways for GP and self-referrals.
  • Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives and service development.
  • Support patient education and clinical teaching activities where appropriate.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and patient-focused Consultant Dermatologist committed to delivering outstanding clinical care within a private outpatient setting.

Applicants should be

  • A medical practitioner holding an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practise.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register for Dermatology (or within six months of Certificate of Completion of Training).
  • Experienced in the assessment and management of general dermatology and skin lesions.
  • Confident working independently whilst contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of clinical governance, continuing professional development and patient care.
