About Our Opportunity

This role is an opportunity for the right person. Our Metal Quality Inspectors are on the ground, keeping depot traffic flowing smoothly and safely, ensuring we deliver the best customer service. Their eye for detail, organisational and problem-solving skills enable the depots to be successful.

You will develop knowledge and expertise in recycling and sustainability and can build on your current skills as you advance your career.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Manage all vehicles entering and exiting the depot, liaising with customers and team members to maintain a steady flow of traffic
  • Act as first point of contact for customers to resolve issues, developing and maintaining professional relationships
  • Compile reports and update EMR\'s database, and accurately grade incoming and outgoing scrap deliveries to EMR standards
  • Identify and separate non-conforming materials, record evidence, and apply associated penalties
  • Assist in hand sorting and separating different metal types and grades into relevant bays, bales, or containers

About You

  • Previous experience in a similar role or environment
  • Ability to work in a busy environment while maintaining high standards of customer service and health & safety compliance
