EMR Next Gen is a three-year development programme designed for ambitious individuals with 2–5 years' experience in fast-paced operational, trade, retail, logistics, manufacturing, or customer-facing environments.
Whether you've built your career leading people, supporting customers, coordinating stock and deliveries, or keeping busy operations running smoothly, this programme will give you the skills, experience, and support to develop into a future Operational or Commercial Manager.
Through structured learning, hands‑on experience, and mentoring, you'll gain exposure to different areas of the business while building the leadership and commercial skills needed to succeed.
What You Will Be Doing
As part of the Next Gen programme, you will
- Complete a structured three-year development programme combining practical experience and formal learning.
- Gain hands‑on experience across operational and commercial functions within the business.
- Develop leadership skills by managing people, projects, and operational activities.
- Build commercial knowledge to understand how the business delivers value for customers.
- Work alongside experienced leaders, mentors, and subject matter experts to develop your capabilities.
- Lead improvement projects that enhance safety, customer experience, and operational performance.
- Build strong relationships across multiple departments to understand how the business operates.
- Take on increasing levels of responsibility as your knowledge and confidence grow.
About You
We're looking for ambitious individuals who are eager to learn, develop, and build a long‑term career with EMR.
You’ll ideally have
- 2–5 years' experience in a fast‑paced operational, retail, trade, logistics, manufacturing, or customer‑facing environment.
- Experience leading people, coordinating operations, or supporting customers.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to take on new challenges.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Good problem‑solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset.
- A passion for developing yourself and progressing into a leadership role.
- The flexibility to learn across different business areas and adapt to new opportunities.
