About Our Opportunity
We’re searching for a motivated and proactive General Yard Operative to join our dynamic team at EMR in Newmarket. This role offers an exciting chance to contribute to our high‑performing operations, ensuring efficiency and safety while maintaining top‑quality standards. What You Will Be Doing
- Maintain and operate designated work areas, machinery, and equipment to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe and productive workplace.
- Conduct machinery checks, adjust settings to meet quality standards, and perform scheduled maintenance and cleaning.
- Monitor workload progress, report any issues to your Team Leader, and assist in achieving production targets and KPIs.
- Collaborate with team members to solve problems and ensure smooth operations.
- Complete paperwork accurately and on time while supporting customer-facing tasks when needed.
- Be open to training opportunities, expanding your skill set to contribute across multiple areas of the business.
About You
- Works well within a team and brings a positive attitude to every task.
- Has a strong work ethic, takes initiative, and strives for high standards.
- Possesses good timekeeping and communication skills, including delivering excellent customer service.
- Is adaptable and willing to try new approaches or take on additional responsibilities.
- Ideally has prior factory or yard experience; an FLT license is a plus, but we’re happy to provide training.
