As our Social Value Project Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of innovative social value programmes, working with colleagues, customers, supply chain partners, and community organisations to make a real difference. This is a unique opportunity to shape how we embed social value into everything we do, while helping us achieve our ambitious targets and live our values.
This opportunity will be covering Midlands, Yorkshire & East Anglia regions.
What You Will Be Doing:
• Supporting the design and delivery of EMR’s Social Value Strategy and innovative projects.
• Embedding social value into contracts and project delivery alongside our commercial and operational teams.
• Building strong partnerships with schools, colleges, local authorities, charities, VCSEs, prisons, and support agencies.
• Monitoring, measuring, and reporting on social value outcomes, ensuring robust evidence is captured.
• Representing EMR as a social value champion in forums and community networks.
• Collaborating with sustainability, marketing, and communications teams to promote and share our impact.
• Staying up to date with national and local policies, and sector developments.
About You:
We’re looking for someone who is:
• Experienced in social value, CSR, or training/skills development, ideally with knowledge of the recycling or sustainability sector.
• Skilled at building and managing relationships with a wide range of partners and stakeholders.
• Confident in developing and delivering social value action plans, including employment, skills, and community initiatives.
• Analytical, detail-driven, and confident in data management and reporting.
• A strong communicator and influencer, comfortable engaging with diverse groups.
• Flexible and willing to travel to support projects across the region.
You’ll also bring resilience, initiative, and a results-driven mindset, while being a collaborative team player who lives our values and empowers others.
