About Our Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Fitter to join our team. As a core member of the maintenance function, you will carry out reactive, predictive, and planned maintenance across our sites. This is a mobile role covering locations within the South and South‑West London area only, with a company van and tools provided. Working hours are Monday–Friday, with overtime available.
In this role, you will play a key part in our bold commitment to transform our business into a provider of net‑zero carbon sustainable materials by 2040. Your contribution will help shape a cleaner future.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Monitor, fault‑find, maintain, and repair a wide range of equipment including conveyors, crushers, screens, shredders and shears
- Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operational performance
- Maintain, monitor, and document all service, maintenance, and CMMS records
- Identify, investigate, and report machine faults and damages using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate recurring issues
- Perform MIG, TIG, and other welding methods as required
- Participate in ongoing training to stay compliant and aligned with industry standards
About You:
- Completed a nationally recognised mechanical or fabrication apprenticeship (minimum Level 3), ideally higher‑level or time‑served
- Proven background maintaining and repairing heavy plant and mobile machinery in engineering environments
- Able to work independently, managing your own time, workload, and site responsibilities effectively
- Committed to high standards, attention to detail, and safe working practices
- Full UK driving licence (company van and tools provided)
