A major global sports league is seeking a Marketing Analyst to provide better insight into it's own customer base.
In this role, you’ll turn large, complex B2C datasets into clear insights that shape marketing in the future.
You’ll use SQL & Python and build the analysis and recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Write SQL and Python to extract correct and informative marketing datasets.
- Interpret data into clear and concise formats with recommendations for stakeholders.
- Build dashboards and recurring reports on growth on new potential markets.
- Monitor campaign and go-to-market (GTM) performance.
- Provide regular performance updates for team leads and senior stakeholders.
- Support segmentation that helps regional teams understand their engagement in different markets.
- Build reporting and track performance of consumers against growth goals.
- Work with marketing, international and data engineering teams to gather and document business requirements.
- Liaise with third-party partners on data needs and definitions.
Requirements
- Solid experience of SQL skills, including complex joins, aggregations and window functions.
- B2C experience ideally or B2C experience in gaming, retail or wider sports ideally
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain technical findings clearly to non-technical marketing audiences
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis (e. g., pandas, Num Py).
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with at least one cloud data platform: Databricks, AWS or Snowflake.
- Experience with BI and visualisation tools (e. g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Experience of working with marketing, CRM or customer analytics.
- Passion for sport and an understanding of global fan cultures would be an advantage
