A global fintech specialist is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to design, help shape and amplify the story of the business. In this London-based role, you will develop and execute the European communications strategies that enhance reputation, support business growth and position products and expertise prominently in the market.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to a comprehensive communications strategy that supports B2B marketing strategy to strengthen brand objectives.
  • Collaborate and advise internal stakeholders, draft executive briefs and prepare senior leaders for media interactions and industry events.
  • Lead proactive media relations efforts, including drafting and editing pitches, press materials, commentary and content.
  • Build relationships with journalists to achieve exposure.
  • Translate complex business and regulatory issues into engaging stories and integrated content spanning social media copy, vertical video and long-form content.
  • Monitor the news agenda and industry developments to identify reactive and proactive storytelling opportunities.
  • Track media coverage, maintain press lists and compile reports that measure impact and inform future activity.
  • Identify opportunities to promote expertise and competitive advantage through opinion pieces, commentary, and speaking engagements.
  • Manage all media relations, including proactive outreach and reactive responses.
  • Monitor media coverage, analyse PR campaign performance, and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for media enquiries.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and ensure consistency in messaging.

Experience:

  • Proven track record in a broad communications role across fintech, SAS or a fast-paced technology-based business ideally.
  • In-house experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex topics into clear, engaging messages.
  • Strong network of media contacts within the UK financial and business press (ideally).

£80-£90,000 (Dependent on experience). 3-days in the office.
