Communications Officer β 12-month FTC β Β£30,000 β Hybrid (2 days WFH)
Location: Hospice serving London and the Home Counties
About the Role
As a key member of the busy Marketing & Communications team, you will create engaging, high-quality content that showcases the work they do and the people they support. You will produce blogs, news stories, case studies, and short videos for a wide range of online and offline channels. This role requires someone who is highly organised, collaborative, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Create compelling written and visual content for web, social media, print, and internal channels.
- Gather stories, interviews, and case studies from residents, families and care home teams.
- Support colleagues across our homes by advising on effective communication and brand consistency.
- Manage and schedule posts across social media channels, including paid campaigns.
- Maintain and update website content using CMS platforms.
- Monitor basic analytics to assess content performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure all communications are accurate, consistent, and aligned with their brand and values.
About You
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced team with excellent planning and prioritisation skills.
- Comfortable working independently and confident in producing polished, engaging content.
- Happy to spend time in the care homes building relationships and gathering stories.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own car are essential.
What Youβll Bring
- 2+ yearsβ experience in communications, marketing, or social media roles.
- Outstanding copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Experience in social media advertising (Facebook Business Manager preferred).
- Confident using CMS platforms , Canva , and basic analytics tools.
- An eye for detail and a creative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
