EMR are currently working with a very reputable Top 100 legal firm who have a strong international presence. They have approached us to support them with their search to hire a new International PR Manager, based out of their City of London office. This is a new role that has been created due to the expansion and growth of business and revenue generated through their international offices.
Reporting into the Director of Communications, and working within a small knit team of 3, as an experienced PR professional, you will be responsible for developing and implementing all international PR Strategies, along with elevating our client’s brand and reputation and its market positioning. You will work closely with all international divisions and practice groups, identifying their objectives and ensuring the communications is completely aligned.
As a PR professional who is completely comfortable in developing relationships with a number of internal senior stakeholders, along with journalists and commentators in a range of media outlets, you will use these attributes to promote the firm’s services and expertise.
As the newly appointed International PR Manager and tasked with promoting and enhancing our client’s reputation, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Develop our client’s international PR Strategy.
- Create press releases, media kits, and other materials for media outreach.
- Work with the regional teams to tailor messages for local markets.
- Design and implement PR strategies to support our client’s objectives and identify key messaging for practice areas and insights.
- Establish new relationships with external stakeholders, to support local business development managers.
- Take responsibility for day-to-day implementation of the global media relations strategies.
- Be the main point of contact for international media enquiries, developing and maintaining relationships with target publications and journalists.
- Identify opportunities in social media and other digital platforms such as podcasts to complement media relations strategy, and consistently build and develop relationships with journalists across business, trade and regional press.
As the newly appointed International PR Manager, your previous experience, skillsets and attributes will include:
- Minimum of 5 years of public relations experience either gained within the legal, professional services sectors, agency side working with professional services clients.
- International experience would be preferred, but is not a pre-requisite for this position.
- Experience in managing communication budgets.
A base salary up to £70,000 is available to the successful candidate which is dependent on experience.
