The Fabricator role is an essential role within the manufacturing sector, responsible for constructing and assembling metal structures and components in line with detailed specifications.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques, fabrication processes, and safety standards required in the industry.
Attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are key for success in this position.
- What You Will Be Doing
- Execute welding, cutting, and fabrication of metal components using various techniques (MIG, TIG, and Arc) in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Maintain equipment and ensure work areas remain clean and organised.
- Work collaboratively with the wider production team to achieve operational targets.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
About You
- Proficiency in various welding procedures, including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding.
- Understanding of safety procedures, welding code standards (such as ISO 9606), and quality assurance processes.
- Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and blueprints.
- Previous experience within a welding or fabrication environment.
- Committed to working safely and maintaining high standards.
- Relevant welding qualifications or certifications are advantageous.
