As Regional Transport Manager, you'll play a key role in leading and developing our national transport operation, ensuring we deliver exceptional service to our internal customers while driving operational excellence, compliance and continuous improvement.
Working closely with senior leaders across Operations, Commercial and Finance, you'll influence strategic decisions, optimise fleet performance and lead a high-performing team that puts safety, customer service and operational efficiency at the heart of everything they do.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the performance and continuous improvement of EMR's transport operation, ensuring a safe, compliant and cost-effective service across the network.
- Develop strong relationships with Operations, Commercial and Finance teams to optimise fleet utilisation, resource planning and operational performance.
- Drive driver engagement, coaching and development, creating a positive culture that supports high performance and employee retention.
- Ensure full compliance with Operator Licence requirements, transport legislation and company policies, while managing internal and external transport providers.
- Analyse operational and financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve service levels, reduce costs and support the long-term transport strategy.
About You
You'll be an experienced transport leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys building high-performing teams. You're commercially minded, highly organised and passionate about delivering excellent service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
You'll also have:
- A National or International Transport Manager CPC and significant transport or haulage management experience.
- Proven experience leading multi-site transport operations, including drivers, fleet management and planning teams.
- Strong knowledge of Operator Licence compliance, transport legislation and fleet performance management.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the business.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, operational excellence and developing people.
