About Our Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled Mobile Maintenance Fitter to join our team. As a core member of the maintenance function, you will carry out reactive, predictive, and planned maintenance across our sites. This is a mobile role, working Monday to Friday, covering Newmarket, Northampton, Bedford, Norwich, Yarmouth, Lenwade. A company van and tools are provided, and there is regular overtime available. You will be responsible for maintaining both fixed plant and mobile plant equipment, ensuring operational reliability and performance across all sites.

In this role, you will play a key part in our bold commitment to transform our business into a provider of net-zero carbon sustainable materials by 2040. Your contribution will help shape a cleaner future and make you a true hero in the eyes of generations to come. The ideal candidate can be based out of any of these locations: Newmarket, Northampton, Bedford, Norwich, Yarmouth, Lenwade.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Monitor, fault-find, maintain, and repair a wide range of equipment including hydraulic power packs, pumps, gearboxes, conveyor systems, and treatment machinery.
  • Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance on both fixed and mobile plant equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operational performance.
  • Maintain, monitor, and document all service, maintenance, and CMMS records.
  • Identify, investigate, and report machine faults and damages using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and other welding methods as required.

About You:

  • Completed a nationally recognised mechanical or fabrication apprenticeship (minimum Level 3), ideally higher-level or time-served.
  • Proven background maintaining and repairing heavy plant and mobile machinery in engineering environments.
  • Able to work independently, managing your own time, workload, and site responsibilities effectively.
  • Committed to high standards, attention to detail, and safe working practices.
  • Full UK driving licence (company van and tools provided).
