We are looking for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (60/40) Mechanical to join our depot maintenance team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring our plant and processing equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. Working on both Mechanical and electrical systems, you’ll support continuous improvement, minimise downtime, and contribute to the overall performance of the site. You’ll also benefit from ongoing training and development to expand your technical skillset and career progression.
What you will be doing:
- Diagnose and fault-find on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Work on electrical systems including 3-phase motors, control panels, sensors.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs to maximise plant uptime.
- Maintain and repair equipment including conveyors, shredders, motors, bearings, power transmissions, pumps and gearboxes.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ensure all work is completed safely in line with company procedures and health & safety standards.
About You:
- Completed a time-served apprenticeship and gained qualifications of C&G NVQ 3 Diploma in Engineering maintenance or equivalent.
- Good Mechanical and Electrical fault-finding skills within heavy industry/manufacturing environment (60/40).
- Experience working on heavy machinery, plant equipment, or processing systems.
- Basic PLC fault-finding (desirable but not essential).
- Have experience or certification within welding and fabrication.
- Experience of RCA techniques.
- Be able to work some weekends to aid business requirements.
