About Our Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a core member of the maintenance function, you will carry out reactive, predictive, and planned electrical maintenance across our fixed plant operations. This role is site-based and plays a critical part in ensuring plant reliability, safety, and operational performance. Working hours are Monday–Friday, with overtime required to support operational needs.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs on fixed plant equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on electrical systems including motors, drives, control panels, conveyors, shredders, balers, and associated plant equipment.
  • Maintain and fault-find on three-phase power systems, control circuits, PLCs, inverters, sensors, and instrumentation.
  • Complete and maintain all maintenance records and documentation using the CMMS system.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and application of safe isolation and LOTOTO procedures.
  • Work safely in accordance with company policies, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
  • Follow OEM maintenance schedules, technical documentation, and company procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate effectively with mechanical engineers, contractors, and operational teams to minimise disruption to production.

About You:

  • Proven experience maintaining and fault-finding on industrial electrical systems within a heavy industrial, manufacturing, recycling, quarrying, or process plant environment.
  • Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment and electrical fault diagnosis.
  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Maintenance.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification desirable.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and respond effectively to plant breakdowns.
  • Proven track record of experience in a comparable Fixed Plant Electrical Engineer or Electrical Maintenance Engineer role.
