About Our Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Fitter to join our team. As a core member of the maintenance function, you will carry out reactive, predictive, and planned maintenance across our sites. This is a mobile role covering locations within the Glasgow area only, with a company van and tools provided. Working hours are Monday–Friday, with overtime available.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Monitor, fault-find, maintain, and repair a wide range of equipment including hydraulic power packs, pumps, gearboxes, conveyor systems, and treatment machinery.
- Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance to prevent breakdowns and ensure smooth operational performance.
- Maintain, monitor, and document all service, maintenance, and CMMS records.
- Identify, investigate, and report machine faults and damages using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to eliminate recurring issues.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and other welding methods as required.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay compliant and aligned with industry standards.
About You:
- Completed a nationally recognised mechanical or fabrication apprenticeship (minimum Level 3), ideally higher-level or time-served.
- Proven background maintaining and repairing heavy plant and mobile machinery in engineering environments.
- Able to work independently, managing your own time, workload, and site responsibilities effectively.
- Committed to high standards, attention to detail, and safe working practices.
- Full UK driving licence (company van and tools provided).
