About Our Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Bulk Network Transport Manager to lead and develop our Bulk Network transport operation. In this senior role, you’ll be responsible for delivering an efficient, compliant, and high‑performing transport service that meets agreed service, performance, and cost targets. You’ll work closely with commercial, finance, and operational teams to ensure the right resources are in place, drive continuous improvement, and maximise customer satisfaction across the network. This opportunity will require a candidate who is comfortable with regional travel.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Leading the development and performance of the Bulk/Artic Network transport operation.
- Managing haulier compliance, service levels, contracts, and rates.
- Ensuring haulier invoices are accurate and paid on time.
- Partnering with commercial teams to understand forecasts and ensure resources are aligned.
- Analysing service performance and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Managing budgets to maximise service and operational efficiency.
- Leading, developing, and motivating a transport team to meet targets.
- Driving a continuous improvement culture across the network.
- Working with finance to analyse spend and provide performance summaries.
- Building strong communication structures with key stakeholders across the business.
- Developing a robust and agile haulier network to meet changing business demand.
About You:
- Proven experience in transport or haulier network management.
- Previous experience managing transport teams, vehicles, and multi‑site operations.
- Holds a National or International CPC qualification.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing costs and budgets.
- Confident communicator able to influence at all levels.
- Methodical, proactive, and solutions‑focused leadership style.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with a positive, hands‑on approach.
- Strong geographic knowledge of the operating area.
- Flexible to travel and work extended hours as required.
