What You Will Be Doing: Supporting the operation of EMR’s battery recycling process for the disassembly of High Voltage vehicle battery packs and modules by operating, maintaining & developing the Battery Disassembly Facility. Key Responsibilities: Removal and disassembly of high voltage batteries from vehicle to module level Connect batteries to battery cycler for discharging and testing Communication of disassembly status via utilisation documents Maintenance of all equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s or EMR’s procedures Rectification/diagnosis of issues, engagement of Battery engineers where needed Operate within and help develop internal standardised operating procedures and local process documents Completion of in process records and documentation in order to maintain traceability Work in line with company Health & Safety requirements together with use of required PPE Performing and following risk assessments Developing routines and best practices to ensure product quality About You: Useful Experience: Minimum BTEC or NVQ level 3 qualification in a relevant field IMI Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement Mechanically competent Willingness to proactively learn Maintain safe and tidy workplaces to 5S standards A practical problem solver, capable of evaluating problems through understanding and interpreting facts and data Aware of electrical automotive high voltage systems An understanding of battery system fundamentals is advantageous Experienced with the assembly/disassembly of complex electro/mechanical components and systems Operating forklift trucks Able to set up and operate basic test equipment to perform diagnostic tests
