Overview Of The Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead growth initiatives. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the market presence, cultivating key client relationships and driving revenue growth while upholding the commitment to service excellence. The Business Development Manager will hold a hybrid role, requiring one day of office presence per week based in Slough.

Key Responsibilities

  • As the Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of the growth strategy, identifying new business partners, securing lucrative contracts, and nurturing client relationships.
  • Take charge of sales targets, leveraging self-generated leads and inquiries to drive the entire sales process from prospecting to contract negotiation.
  • Engage with key stakeholders including end-users, facilities managers, customer managing agents, and specifiers, showcasing the services and closing deals at operational and board levels.
  • Build and expand a robust network of contacts within the marketplace, continuously seeking out new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Estimating Team and colleagues to ensure seamless processing of enquiries, conduct thorough site surveys and prepare accurate asset schedules for pricing.

Person Specification And Key Competencies

  • Proven track record as a Business Development Manager within the Hard Services sector is essential.
  • Strong expertise in estimating and pricing jobs, coupled with a high level of technical and commercial acumen.
  • Self-driven, proactive and adaptable approach to achieving sales targets, with readiness to engage at operational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate revenue through proactive sales prospecting and effective client development.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in IT tools, particularly MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
