Empress Social Care, a leading provider of high-quality care services, is currently recruiting health and social care support workers. Based in Hertfordshire or Peterborough, with travel in the local area, our mission is to be the most reliable, efficient and effective service provider and this role is crucial to that, delivering excellent high quality support focused on achieving positive outcomes.
As a health and social care support worker, you will be responsible for providing care and support to young people with complex needs including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, Autism and behaviours that challenge. Your daily duties can include:
- Assisting with bathing, grooming and getting dressed
- Preparing and serving meals at the appropriate time
- Administering oral and topical medication
- Providing mental and emotional support
- Making recommendations to family members and healthcare personnel on the plan of care
- Organising meaningful activities for the young person
- Collaborating with other health care and social care professionals to provide the best possible care
You will work with a strong and dedicated team to enable the implementation of various areas of care and support including specialist tasks such as peg-feeding and stoma care, personal care and hygiene and eating and drinking. The successful candidate will be compassionate and understanding, passionate about the sector and hold qualifications in Health and Social Care. NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Care or higher is an advantage.
