Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating CNC lathes
  • Loading and proving out existing programs
  • Tool setting and offset adjustments
  • First-off inspection and in-process checks
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Maintaining dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements
  • Measuring components using micrometres, verniers, bore gauges etc.
  • Producing small to medium batch work
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working area

Requirements

  • Previous CNC lathe setting and operating experience essential
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload
  • Confident using measuring equipment
  • Able to read and understand technical drawings
  • Experience with Fanuc or Haas controls preferred (but not essential)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Strong understanding of tolerances and quality standards

Desirable

  • Experience within precision engineering / aerospace / automotive sectors

Machines / Software
