Responsibilities
- Setting and operating CNC lathes
- Loading and proving out existing programs
- Tool setting and offset adjustments
- First-off inspection and in-process checks
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Maintaining dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements
- Measuring components using micrometres, verniers, bore gauges etc.
- Producing small to medium batch work
- Maintaining a clean and safe working area
Requirements
- Previous CNC lathe setting and operating experience essential
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Confident using measuring equipment
- Able to read and understand technical drawings
- Experience with Fanuc or Haas controls preferred (but not essential)
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong understanding of tolerances and quality standards
Desirable
- Experience within precision engineering / aerospace / automotive sectors
