We are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join an established engineering team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Electronics Group Lead, this role plays a key part in setting engineering standards and acting as a technical authority within the team. You will take ownership of electronic circuit design and multi-layer PCB development, supporting both new product introduction and legacy product improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic circuits and multi-layer PCB layouts
  • Maintain and enhance existing PCB designs, ensuring performance, manufacturability, and compliance
  • Work across EMC, power management, servo control, processor interfacing, and communications
  • Manage electronic component obsolescence, including lifecycle monitoring and alternative component selection
  • Lead redesign activity where required due to component changes
  • Support production and manufacturing teams with technical queries and root cause analysis
  • Conduct design reviews, verification, and validation testing
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation including schematics, BOMs, and design reports
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, procurement, and manufacturing teams
  • Engage with suppliers and external partners on technical issues and component selection
