We are supporting a major client seeking to engage an experienced Collibra Data Governance Specialist to help expand and mature their enterprise data governance capability. This role is hands-on, with a strong focus on Collibra configuration, workflow design, and governance process implementation.
Start: Mid-March
Location: UK (remote or hybrid depending on client requirements)
Engagement: Contract, 6-12 months with potential extensions
Responsibilities
- Configure, customise, and administer the Collibra Data Governance platform
- Set up domains, communities, operating models, workflows, and governance assets
- Utilise Collibra features including Business Glossary, Data Catalog, Data Lineage, Stewardship, and Policy Management
- Design and implement data governance processes and workflows
- Support data definitions, classification, metadata management, and lineage capture
- Collaborate with data owners, stewards, architects, and business stakeholders
- Promote adoption of governance standards, processes, and best practices
- Produce documentation, guidance, and governance materials as required
Required Experience
- Hands-on experience configuring and setting up the Collibra Data Governance platform
- Strong understanding of Collibra features, operating models, and workflow design
- Experience across core data governance disciplines:
- Data definitions and glossary management
- Metadata management
- Data classification
- Data lineage (business and technical)
Desirable Experience
- Background in insurance or financial services
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, Solvency II, or BCBS 239, ACORD
- Exposure to data quality, metadata, or cataloguing tools
- Understanding of data architecture or data management practices
