We are recruiting for an experienced Principal Electronics Engineer to join a well-established engineering organisation working on complex, high-performance systems within a technically demanding environment.
This is a senior engineering role offering the opportunity to lead development activities, contribute to new technology initiatives, and provide technical guidance across multidisciplinary projects.
The Role:
- Lead the design and development of electronic and electrical systems
- Support system architecture, integration, and product development activities
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers within the team
- Carry out analysis, fault finding, and root cause investigations at PCB and system level
- Support project planning, technical reviews, and risk management activities
- Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and external suppliers where required
Skills & Experience:
- Electronic circuit design and PCB development
- Power management and embedded electronics
- EMC / EMI considerations
- Control systems, motors, or drive technologies
- System-level integration and electrical architecture
- Technical leadership or project ownership
- Fault finding and analytical problem solving
- Experience with tools such as Altium, OrCAD, JIRA, or MS Project would be beneficial.
About You:
- Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Able to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Organised, proactive, and technically driven
- Chartered status or working toward Chartership would be advantageous
