We are recruiting for an experienced Principal Electronics Engineer to join a well-established engineering organisation working on complex, high-performance systems within a technically demanding environment.

This is a senior engineering role offering the opportunity to lead development activities, contribute to new technology initiatives, and provide technical guidance across multidisciplinary projects.

The Role:

  • Lead the design and development of electronic and electrical systems
  • Support system architecture, integration, and product development activities
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers within the team
  • Carry out analysis, fault finding, and root cause investigations at PCB and system level
  • Support project planning, technical reviews, and risk management activities
  • Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and external suppliers where required

Skills & Experience:

  • Applicants should demonstrate experience in a number of the following areas:
  • Electronic circuit design and PCB development
  • Power management and embedded electronics
  • EMC / EMI considerations
  • Control systems, motors, or drive technologies
  • System-level integration and electrical architecture
  • Technical leadership or project ownership
  • Fault finding and analytical problem solving

Experience with tools such as Altium, OrCAD, JIRA, or MS Project would be beneficial.

About You:

  • Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Able to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Organised, proactive, and technically driven
  • Chartered status or working toward Chartership would be advantageous
