Job Description
Strategic Account Manager
Basic Salary: £30,000 – £40,000
Commission: No lower threshold / no upper cap – Excellent scheme!
Location: Liverpool Street, London / Hybrid (3 days per week in the office)
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and nurturing key client accounts. This person must be adept at professional networking and building strong relationships to ensure we establish long-term relationships and grow with our key clients. This person will engage, develop new business, and actively seek out new sales opportunities with our existing clients as well as ensuring we are providing across multiple departments, disciplines and types of staffing (i.e. contract, perm, SOW, RPO).
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creating and implementing Account Plans for all strategic accounts with short-term objectives and long-term goals along with clearly defined steps to reach them.
- Speaking with customers on a regular basis to check in on them and propose new solutions for their organisation.
- Coordinating with the recruitment and operations teams to ensure sales objectives and performance goals are met.
- Proactively establishing professional and productive relationships with stakeholders in client accounts.
- Assessing, clarifying, and validating customer requirements, needs, and goals on a consistent basis.
- Managing new client on-boarding, client launches, and initiatives.
- Work with senior leaders to define the client priorities and ensure engagement at multiple levels in the organisation.
- Track and complete the timely entry of all required client activity and documentation into the ATS/CRM system while maintaining consistency and integrity of data.
- Collaborate with recruitment team to ensure the effective delivery for clients’ needs.
- Strong skills selling the value of our services and possess the ability to influence and effectively negotiate pricing.
- Effectively prepare and deliver business reviews, presentations and proposals.
- Able to work with a sense of urgency and meet tight deadlines.
- Performs other job duties as requested and assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Demonstrable success in sales or account management experience in the recruitment industry (ideally within the Defence/Nuclear/Aerospace/Engineering sectors)
- Proactive and motivated to go above and beyond to deliver client expectations
- A problem-solving mentality
- Superior communication skills (both written and oral) and comfortable presenting and speaking to senior-level executives
- Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple moving parts and accounts simultaneously.
- An outside of the box thinker with proven experience developing creative solutions to clients’ out of the ordinary problems.
- Leadership skills with an empathetic approach – our success is based on our clients’ success so you must be ready to drop everything at a moment’s notice to help.
- Prior experience in Account Management or Sales
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with strategic account plans.
- Proven success achieving and/or exceeding performance goals.
- Detailed, organised, and adaptable.
- Prioritise and possess excellent time management skills.
- Work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships.
- Exceptional written and oral communications ability.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, strong computer skills, including the ability to learn new systems
