Location: London/Bristol
Sizewell C (SZC) is one of the UK’s largest low-carbon infrastructure programmes, delivering a new nuclear power station to support Net Zero ambitions. We are seeking a Civils Contract Lead to manage delivery of the Civils scope within the Nuclear Services Agreement (NSA), acting as the primary interface between SZC and the engineering contractor.
You will own the end-to-end Civils contract scope, ensuring engineering and design services are delivered to cost, schedule, quality and configuration requirements. The role carries full commercial and technical accountability and plays a critical part in programme integration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading Civils scope delivery under the NSA
- Managing NEC contract mechanisms including Early Warnings, Compensation Events and variations
- Providing commercial challenge and approval for additional scope and Task Orders
- Ensuring deliverables meet governance, replication and quality standards
- Escalating delivery, cost or performance risks
- Coordinating across engineering, integration and acceptance teams
- Tracking financial, technical and schedule performance with monthly reporting
We’re looking for:
- Proven civils or infrastructure delivery experience on major programmes
- Strong NEC3/NEC4 contract management background
- Hands-on change control and risk ownership
- Experience in regulated or safety-critical environments (nuclear, defence, rail, energy, aviation)
- Confident stakeholder and contractor leadership skills
Nuclear experience is desirable but not essential.
