The role involves designing and delivering electronic systems across a diverse product portfolio. Responsibilities cover the full product lifecycle, from early concept and development through production, support, and end-of-life activities, working closely with mechanical and software engineering teams.
You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering group to help bring new products to market and provide ongoing support for existing solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and validate electronic systems and assemblies for use in complex products, from initial concept through to production and end-of-life support.
- Translate product and system requirements into detailed electronic designs, including schematics, component selection, and PCB layouts, in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Work closely with mechanical and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration and robust overall product performance.
- Support prototyping, bring-up, and testing activities, including debugging at board and system level and resolving design issues as they arise.
- Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and technical documentation to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the transition of new designs into manufacture, supporting supplier engagement, production testing, and design-for-manufacture activities.
- Provide technical support for existing products, including root cause analysis, failure investigation, and implementation of design improvements.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety requirements, and regulatory constraints.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability, cost efficiency, and development processes.
