The role involves designing and delivering electronic systems across a diverse product portfolio. Responsibilities cover the full product lifecycle, from early concept and development through production, support, and end‑of‑life activities, working closely with mechanical and software engineering teams.
You will collaborate within a multidisciplinary engineering group to help bring new products to market and provide ongoing support for existing solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and validate electronic systems and assemblies for use in complex products, from initial concept through to production and end‑of‑life support.
- Translate product and system requirements into detailed electronic designs, including schematics, component selection, and PCB layouts, in collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Work closely with mechanical and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration and robust overall product performance.
- Support prototyping, bring‑up, and testing activities, including debugging at board and system level and resolving design issues as they arise.
- Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and technical documentation to ensure designs meet performance, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the transition of new designs into manufacture, supporting supplier engagement, production testing, and design‑for‑manufacture activities.
- Provide technical support for existing products, including root cause analysis, failure investigation, and implementation of design improvements.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety requirements, and regulatory constraints.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability, cost efficiency, and development processes.
