The Construction Delivery Lead (CDL) will form part of the Construction Delivery Team, overseeing construction activities delivered by Tier 1 contractors across allocated work areas. Reporting to the Senior Construction Delivery Manager, this role plays a key part in ensuring safe, efficient and compliant delivery on a highly regulated nuclear site. The role will be split approximately 50% site-based and 50% office-based, depending on project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Line manage and develop Construction Delivery Managers (CDMs)
- Provide leadership, guidance and ensure appropriate training for CDMs
- Oversee Health, Safety & Environment compliance in line with the Construction Phase Plan
- Undertake safety and assurance inspections and support project KPIs
- Support construction sequencing, recovery planning and resource allocation
- Step into the CDM role when required by the Senior Construction Delivery Manager
Skills & Experience
- Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Construction or related discipline
- Strong experience delivering large, complex construction projects
- Knowledge of construction commercial principles and reporting
- Working knowledge of CDM Regulations
- Proven leadership and team motivation skills
- NEBOSH, SMSTS or IOSH certification required
