We are retained on a highly strategic search for an exceptional licensed Insolvency Practitioner (IP) to lead the rebuild of a well-established restructuring and insolvency platform in Manchester. This is a leadership opportunity to re-establish, scale, and shape a major regional restructuring practice backed by an international advisory platform with deep support across London, Birmingham, and global markets.
If you have the credibility, commercial drive, and market relationships to build something significant, this could be a compelling opportunity for you in the UK restructuring market.
The Opportunity
- Take ownership of rebuilding and leading the Manchester insolvency and restructuring offering, with a clear mandate to:
- Re-establish and grow a regional insolvency practice
- Develop and convert your own client relationships and referral network
- Build a sustainable team and platform around you
- Drive insolvency-led engagements including administrations, liquidations, and formal appointments
- Collaborate with established restructuring teams across London and Birmingham on complex domestic and cross-border matters
This is a rare opportunity to create a practice with the backing, infrastructure, and brand of a major advisory firm, without the constraints often found in mature platforms.
We're looking for:
- A licensed Insolvency Practitioner
- MD / Partner-level leadership experience
- Proven ability to originate and convert fee-generating work
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ambition to build and scale a regional platform
- Candidates with the ability to bring a team, following, or strategic relationships will be of particular interest
Please note: Pure M&A or advisory backgrounds without formal insolvency appointment experience are unlikely to be suitable for this mandate.
