Location: London (Hybrid Working Model)
Division: Finance Change – STPD (Finance & Controls)
Date Posted: April 2025
Do you thrive in the intersection of capital markets and regulatory transformation? Are you driven by the opportunity to lead change and shape the future of regulatory reporting across EMEA? We are seeking a Regulatory Change Business Analyst with strong expertise in Capital Markets and Regulatory Reporting to join our Finance Change team in London. This is a high-impact role supporting major regulatory initiatives — particularly Basel 3.1 and CRR3 — with a specific focus on Market Risk capital requirements and cross-border compliance across our EMEA entities.
The Opportunity
As a Regulatory Change Business Analyst, you’ll be responsible for leading the design and delivery of regulatory change initiatives that directly affect our Capital Markets business. Your remit will cover the implementation of strategic system and process changes to ensure ongoing compliance with evolving capital adequacy and market risk frameworks. Working across functions and regions, you’ll liaise with stakeholders in Finance, Risk, IT, and Front Office to translate complex regulatory obligations into actionable business and technical requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to influence decision-making and contribute to the resilience and efficiency of our regulatory reporting infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of regulatory change projects focused on Capital Markets and EMEA capital reporting (COREP, Market Risk, Large Exposures).
- Implement Basel 3.1 / CRR3 requirements by overseeing system enhancements and managing the full project lifecycle – from requirement gathering to testing and post-implementation support.
- Develop comprehensive business requirement documents and work closely with IT developers and data teams to build and validate solutions.
- Act as a subject matter expert on capital markets regulatory reporting requirements, including Market Risk frameworks (e.g., FRTB).
- Drive process automation and controls improvement, helping to reduce manual adjustments and improve data integrity.
- Ensure full traceability, transparency, and auditability of all project deliverables to meet internal governance and external regulatory expectations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across London, Frankfurt, Milan, Paris, Brussels, Madrid, and Amsterdam.
Why This Role?
You’ll be joining a specialised Regulatory Change team within Finance Change, embedded in a global investment bank with an active capital markets presence. Your work will directly support the strategic goals of the firm and ensure our business remains compliant in an increasingly complex and fast-moving regulatory landscape. This is a career-defining opportunity for someone looking to build deep expertise in regulatory reporting, influence multi-jurisdictional compliance programmes, and work at the core of capital markets change initiatives.
Essential Experience & Skills Required
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory capital reporting, including COREP, Market Risk, FRTB, and CRR frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with capital markets products, and an understanding of how these instruments are treated under capital regulations.
- Proven ability to produce clear, robust documentation across all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Familiarity with Oracle databases, SQL, and MS Access for data interrogation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and project coordination skills across multiple jurisdictions.
Desirable Experience
- Knowledge of other EMEA regulatory frameworks and returns, such as Anacredit, RUBA, Schema A, or CKO2.
- Exposure to working with Front Office, Risk, and Finance teams in a global investment banking environment.
- Part or fully qualified accountant and/or project management certification.
Key Attributes
- Self-motivated and highly analytical, with a strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced regulatory environment.
- A natural problem-solver with a proactive, collaborative approach.
