Client: Major UK Nuclear Client
Be part of one of the UK’s most critical infrastructure projects. Hinkley Point C is the first new nuclear power station in over 20 years, delivering 3.26GW of low-carbon power and long-term energy security for 6 million homes.
We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Lead to take ownership of high-value, high-risk contracts (up to £2bn) and lead a commercial team of up to 10 professionals, including responsibility for a major site installation contract with Framatome.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing commercial team
- End-to-end commercial management (pre & post-contract)
- Drive procurement strategies aligned to the Integrated Work Schedule
- Manage execution phase: scope, programme, pricing, incentives & claims
- Lead change management and claims resolution strategies
- Own commercial and delivery risk from supplier performance
- Engage with senior stakeholders, regulators and external bodies
- Embed continuous improvement and lessons learned culture
Requirements & Qualifications
- Degree educated
- Member of RICS / CICES / IOB / CIPS (or equivalent)
- Strong experience with NEC & FIDIC contracts under UK law
- Background in power or nuclear construction projects
- Familiarity with nuclear site licence conditions
- Understanding of the UK regulatory framework & international SCM
- Proven experience managing Tier 1 contractors on major sites
