The Union of Shop, Distributive and Allied Workers is one of the UK's largest trade unions. A vacancy exists for a Part-Time Catering Assistant based at the Union's Head Office. The position is 22.5 hours a week (Monday to Friday) working 9.30 am to 2.00 pm.

The principal duties
- To assist in the provision of a quality catering service to staff and visitors, working as part of a team to prepare hot and cold meals.
The successful applicant will possess a basic awareness of health and safety legislation with regard to safety, hygiene and food preparation; knowledge of food storage and use of chemicals; experience of operating a card payment system and the ability to communicate effectively. Previous experience in a catering facility would be desirable.
