We are currently recruitingdedicated Care Assistants / Healthcare Assistantsto support bothchildren and adults with complex needs.
Available Role: Beeston, Nottingham
Client: You will be providing one-to-one care for a 5-year-old girl with complex health needs, delivering specialist nursing support across home, community, and school settings, ensuring continuity of care throughout her day.
Hours: Day hours are 08:00am- 17:00pm, please note this is a bank role
Pay: £35.00 per hour
About The Role
Clinical Role-Specific Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality paediatric nursing care with professionalism and empathy
- Support the child safely within a school environment, enabling access to education while meeting clinical needs
- Liaise with school staff to ensure care plans and risk assessments are followed
- Manage complex conditions including Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, and Dystonia
- Provide airway management, including deep suction, repositioning, and oxygen therapy
- Administer gastrostomy feeds and medications safely
- Support physiotherapy programmes and mobility needs
- Assist with personal care and daily living activities
- Monitor clinical progress and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
- Work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary professionals
- Promote a safe, nurturing environment that supports emotional well-being
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Provide occasional holiday cover with the family when required

- Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition, and daily activities
- Promote independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing
- Maintain accurate care documentation
- Build trusting relationships with clients and families
- Follow all health & safety regulations and company policies
Essential Requirements:
Registered Paediatric Nurse with a valid NMC PIN
Minimum of 2 years’ experience caring for children with complex airway needs
PICU experience (essential)
Experience in community-based and school-based care (desirable)
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, child-centred approach
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
Enhanced DBS clearance
