SEMH Teaching Assistant - Witham

We are currently recruiting multiple Teaching Assistants on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Witham, Essex. The Role

• Supporting students who may present with social, emotional and behavioural challenges, helping them to engage with learning, regulate emotions and achieve positive outcomes.
• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Building positive, professional relationships with students.
• Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons.
• Supporting behaviour management strategies.
• Encouraging participation, confidence and independence.
• Helping to create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment.

Who We're Looking For

• Have experience working with children or young people.
• Have worked in SEN, SEMH, PRU, Alternative Provision, Youth Work, Care, Residential or Sports Coaching environments.
• Can remain calm, consistent and professional in challenging situations.
• Have strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Are passionate about helping young people reach their potential.
• Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential. Candidates with relevant transferable skills, strong interpersonal skills and the right attitude are encouraged to apply.
