Are you a qualified primary teacher who is fluent in Welsh and passionate about inspiring young learners in a primary setting? We are currently recruiting QTS Primary Teachers to work across Welsh-medium primary schools in Torfaen, starting in September 2026.
The Role: We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated primary teachers who can deliver engaging lessons through the medium of Welsh and support pupils in developing their learning across the primary curriculum. You will play a key role in creating a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports pupils' academic and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging primary lessons through the medium of Welsh
- Plan, prepare and adapt learning to meet pupil needs
- Support pupil progress across the primary curriculum
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Contribute to the wider life of the school
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Fluent Welsh speaker – essential
- Experience in a primary school setting
- Strong classroom management skills
- Passion for primary education and Welsh-medium learning
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to provide two professional references
