Salary: 26,000 plus regular performance-related bonuses

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm with a one-hour lunch

Hybrid working: One work-from-home day per week (Wednesday)

Annual leave: 27 days per year

Empowering Learning is looking for a motivated Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our Manchester education recruitment team in September 2026. You don’t need previous recruitment experience. We’re more interested in your attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a customer service, sales, hospitality, retail, administration or education background who wants to build a long-term professional career.

The role initially focuses on finding and engaging talented teachers and support staff for schools, colleges and other educational settings. With structured training, coaching and ongoing support, you’ll gradually develop the skills needed to manage vacancies, build relationships with schools and run your own successful recruitment desk.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Finding candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, social media, referrals and our database.
  • Speaking with applicants to understand their experience, availability and career goals.
