SEN TA role in: Telford

Starting date: Immediate start

Salary: £90 - 105 per day, dependent on experience

Full Time Vacancy (8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)

SEN TA Specification

We are looking for an experienced SEN TA for a full-time position at a SEND school in the Telford area, where you will be working with a range of primary SEND children.

  • Prior experience as a SEN TA
  • Strong understanding of the SEND school curriculum
  • Compassionate, nurturing approach to work
  • Qualified SEN TA - ideally level 3 or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK SEND school system
  • Able to nurture and support young children with SEND
  • Ideally have worked for at least 12 months within Special Needs
  • Experience with ASD, MLD, SLD children
  • Safeguarding level 1 trained
  • DBS on the update service - child and adult SEND experience
  • Dedicated to supporting young SEND learners

The school caters to children with a variety of special needs, including physical and learning needs. Therefore, it is essential to have a strong background in working within an SEN setting and be prepared to assist multiple students with a vast range of SEND.

The school caters for children from KS1 up to KS3, within this role you will be supporting mixed age learners. Your responsibilities will include providing targeted support in small groups and offering individual assistance to students within the classroom. It is your responsibility to ensure that each child is looked after, well supported and assisted in line with their ability.
