Teaching Assistant - SEN will work closely with class teachers to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted Maths and English interventions to individuals and small groups
  • Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs within the classroom
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of different learners
  • Encourage confidence, independence and engagement during lessons
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Help maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents where appropriate

  • Has previous experience working within a primary school
  • Is confident supporting pupils across Years 3 to 6
  • Has experience working with children with SEN
  • Has delivered interventions in literacy and/or numeracy
