Empowering Learning are currently recruiting an enthusiastic teacher of art, to work in a secondary school in North Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will have a desire to improve student standards and want to share their own creative ideas and experience. The role will commence as a long term supply arrangement with the view to possibly making it more permanent in the future,

The school is located a short drive from the M40 motorway with access to midlands and Oxford.

You will ideally have at least 2 years teaching experience in the art field, although ECT\'s are welcome to apply.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to gain classroom experience and support the learning journey of students in art you will:

  • Be in control of your working week
  • Gain experience in a variety of different settings
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively to create a positive learning environment.
  • Support students in completing tasks and maintaining their focus.


We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting.
  • Who wants to help schools and students alike, to achieve their goals
  • Is confident in managing groups of students across various year groups and subjects.
  • Holds a degree or equivalent experience in a teaching setting.
  • Previous experience of teaching Art in a school setting.
  • portfolio of your own work and/or examples of previous student success.
  • Strong passion for the arts and inspiring students
