Are you a passionate and enthusiastic SEMH Teacher familiar with the Secondary Curriculum who can cover basic food tech and is open to considering new opportunities? Empowering Learning is working within a small Alternative Provision which caters for children with Autism, ADHD, and Challenging Behaviours in Halifax, looking for a dedicated and experienced Teacher on a temp to perm assignment.
Role and responsibilities:
- To plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons to students in KS3 and KS4
- Ensure a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students to remain motivated, realise their ambitions and exceed expectations
- Manage and organise extra-curricular activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students
Requirements:
- Fully qualified teacher with Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification
- Educated up to degree level or equivalent
- Previous experience teaching SEMH Pupils up to KS4
- Excellent ability to plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons consistently
- Strong behavioural management and communication skills
