We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Redhill, Surrey. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to students with special educational needs (SEN) within a mainstream secondary school setting.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the SENCo and teaching staff to support students with SEN in the classroom.
  • Implement and adapt learning activities and resources to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN as required, including behavioural, emotional, and social support.
  • Record and monitor the progress of students with SEN, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of classroom resources and equipment.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience working with students with SEN.
  • Experience working with students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and relevant policies and procedures for supporting students with SEN.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
