This will show your passion and commitment to supporting children with diverse needs.

Showcase Your Experience

Be ready to discuss your previous experience in care-based support or as a teaching assistant. Prepare specific examples of how you've helped children with learning difficulties, including any personal care tasks you've managed. This will help the interviewer see your practical skills in action.

Demonstrate Interpersonal Skills

Since excellent interpersonal skills are crucial for this role, think of scenarios where you've effectively communicated or built rapport with children or colleagues. Practise articulating these experiences clearly, as it will highlight your ability to connect with students and work as part of a team.

Prepare Questions

At the end of the interview, you'll likely have the chance to ask questions. Prepare thoughtful queries about the school's approach to SEND, training opportunities, or team dynamics. This not only shows your interest but also helps you gauge if the school is the right fit for you.
