The Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons
- Work with individuals and small groups to support learning
- Provide additional support to pupils who may require extra help
- Help create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Support pupils with their social, emotional and academic development
- Assist with classroom preparation and general learning activities
- Build positive relationships with pupils, teachers and parents/carers where appropriate
About You
We are looking for candidates who have:
- A genuine passion for working with children
- Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A professional and reliable approach
- A willingness to learn and develop
Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification are desirable but not essential, depending on the role.
