SEND Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (Hyde Primary School)

Empowering Learning are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in a primary school located in Hyde. This role is full-time, due to start ASAP, with the opportunity to progress into a permanent position within the school.

The child demonstrates challenging behaviours, so we are looking for someone with strong behaviour management skills, patience, and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships. Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is essential, and Team Teach training would be highly beneficial.

The ideal candidate will:

Have experience supporting children with SEND on a 1:1 basis

Be confident in managing challenging behaviour in a positive way

Hold Team Teach or similar behaviour management training (desirable)

Be resilient, calm under pressure, and committed to supporting children to achieve their potential

Be available full-time, starting ASAP, and open to a long-term to permanent opportunity
