SEN Teacher Job Vacancy

  • SEN Teacher role in: West Midlands
  • Starting date: April 2026
  • Salary: Up to 240 per day DOE
  • Temporary Contract, with potential of permanent role
  • Full Time Vacancy (8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)

SEN Teacher Specification

We are currently seeking an experienced Teacher for a full-time job in a SEND School in the West Midlands, working with PMLD students.

To be considered you must have experience working as an SEN Teacher and an expert knowledge of the SEND school curriculum, along with a caring and nurturing approach to your work. You will have ideally worked with KS3 and KS4 SEND students, with PMLD or Complex needs.

  • You must be a qualified SEN Teacher (QTS)
  • Have strong experience working with PMLD/Complex needs
  • Have an excellent knowledge of the UK SEND system
  • Ideally have worked for at least 12 months within a Special Needs school
  • Safeguarding level 1 trained
  • DBS on the update service
  • Dedicated to supporting young SEND learners

The school is for young adults with a range of Special Needs, however this particular role is to work in their most complex department, with PMLD students. The range is between KS3 and KS4, who are a fantastic group with brilliant classroom support working with them.

You will be leading a proficient team to best support these young adults, and further enhance their learning and development.

The school has a fantastic team and supportive senior leadership who want to see their school and children thrive. You will be working with the secondary Department, with the support of experienced classroom support. Being a SEND school, you must be diligent and professional, and committed to changing the lives of children.

SEN Teacher Summary

The school is looking for a strong SEN Teacher, strong with PMLD who is confident in their ability to engage with and inspire pupils to achieve their best. To be considered you must be a fully qualified Teacher with excellent classroom practice and a love for SEND. You must also have worked with Secondary level SEND.
