Are you a passionate and resilient SEND Teacher looking for a rewarding new challenge? We are recruiting for a dedicated SEND Teacher to join a Secondary PRU in Wallasey, part of a well-established group of PRUs across the Wirral. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fairly new and growing site that provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for secondary-aged pupils who may find mainstream education challenging. The site caters for up to 20 pupils, many of whom receive 1:1 support from dedicated teaching assistants.

Our provision is non-curriculum-based, focusing instead on personal development, emotional regulation, and engagement. Pupils present with a range of SEND needs, including SEMH, ADHD, challenging behaviour, and ACEs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, adaptable learning experiences that meet the individual needs of pupils.
  • Foster positive relationships that build trust, confidence, and resilience.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals.
  • Create a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEND.
  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to teaching.
  • Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills.
