Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking outstanding SEND Teaching Assistants to join a supportive school in Islington, London. We are looking for enthusiastic, proactive individuals with experience supporting students with special educational needs, particularly autism and SEMH. The school places a strong emphasis on academic support, so the ability to effectively assist students with their learning is essential. In addition, you will play a vital role in fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. To be successful for this role you must:

  • Bring passion, enthusiasm, and a desire to work in SEND learning environments.
  • Possess knowledge and experience with SEND students or a strong background in supporting individuals with autism.
  • Have experience working in the education or care system, supporting either adults or children.
  • Contribute meaningfully to the students' learning journey.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting students in the classroom both individually and in groups.
  • Supervising children inside and outside the classroom.
  • Encouraging and supporting students in their learning.
  • Aiding the teacher in lesson preparation and activity planning.
